Five Years of Building the Chemical Innovation Ecosystem

Innovation in the chemical industry does not happen in isolation. It happens when scientists, startups, industry, investors, and policymakers work together.

Over the past five years, chemstars has helped build exactly this ecosystem. Since 2021, we have supported more than 75 startups and 90 university teams, facilitated over 500 connections across the innovation landscape, and helped portfolio companies raise more than €366 million in funding. Most importantly, 75% of our startups are already collaborating with established industry partners through pilot projects or joint development initiatives.
